Ja taas mennään...ei tosin kovin pitkälle, sillä arpa heitti vastakkain yorkshirelaisjoukkueet liigacupin toisella kierroksella. Leedsin tiistainen vastus Rotherhamhan putosi viime kauden päätteeksi sarjaporrasta alemmas. Viime kaudella oli hankalaa Rotherhamin kanssa, olikohan niin että toinen peli hävittiin ja toinen päättyi tasan... Rotherhamilta löytyy tulivoimaa Deon Burtonin ja Martin Butlerin muodossa ja joukkue majailee tällä hetkellä ykkösdivarin seitsemäntenä.

David Healy kärsii pelikieltoaan, mikäli Leedsin anomus punaisen kortin mitätöimisestä ei mene läpi. Kärjessä pelannevat tuolloin Hulse ja Cresswell. Leedsillä on KB:n mukaan motivaatiota pärjätä myös cupissa. Hankala peli taas kuitenkin luvassa ja veikkaaminen on vähintään yhtä hankalaa. Yritetään vaikka näin:

Rotherham - Leeds Utd 2 - 2, jatkoajalla sitten voittoon.

Leeds lunasti pääsynsä Carling cupin kolmannelle kierrokselle kaadettuaan Rotherhamin selvin 0-2 numeroin. Richard Cresswell laukoi kauden avausmaalinsa kokovalkoisten paidassa haastaen näin Rob Hulsen ja Robbie Blaken avauskokoonpanonpaikasta Ipswichiä vastaan David Healyn huilatessa vielä pari peliä. Jokohan cupin seuraavalla kierroksella saataisiin vastaan joukkue valioliigasta...

Veikkauskisassa ei maksimipisteitä jaettu, mutta Dacourt ja ...e pääsivät hyvin lähelle. 0-2 -numerot löysi lapulleen myöskin Kartsa.

Yhteispisteissä Dacourt nousee ...e:n peesaamana kärkipaikalle ja kolmen kärki Castawayllä varustettuna on lähdössä hienoiselle karkumatkalle.
