Jabba's Comments Played quite well in the few games he had in 97-98, slotting into the right-back slot vacated by our occasional midfielder Gary Kelly.

After a not very successful loan spell with Reading in 98-99, and with the defence pretty much selecting itself at the moment, he'll need to dig deep to see if he can make the break and get a regular first team place and has frequently been mentioned in rumours of loans or permanent transfers. His one game in 2000-01 was in the dead match against Lazio in the Champions League where he put in an excellent performance to really put himself in the shop window.

Without a game in 2001-02, Alan found himself the subject of interest from Craig Levein of Hearts, and after consulting with Eddie Gray and talking to Levein, he decided his future lay in the SPL.

Lee Sharpen ura näkyy jatkuvan Islannissa. Lainaus Leeds Today -lehdestä:

Former United midfielder Lee Sharpe has completed a move to Icelandic club Grindavik.
The one-time England international, who was an expensive flop at Elland Road after signing for £4.5m in 1996, has signed a one-year contract after being impressed by the club's facilities.
"Yes, it's true. Lee Sharpe has signed a contract with us just for this season," said Grindavik general secretary Ingvar Gudjonsson. "He will link up with us at our training camp in Spain on April 5."
Sharpe has been in limbo since being released by third division strugglers Exeter City last summer.

No asiaan: Mikä sille Leelle (siis Sharpille) tuli ?

Muistaakseni Muna-aikoina hän oli lupaavimpia pelaajia koko valtakunnassa. Suurin toivein hänet meillekin ostettiin, mutta taisi kaari olla alenemassa jo oston aikoihinkin.

Jatkuvat loukkaantumiset, viina vai joku muu ?

Olihan Sharpen tähti toki jo pahasti laskussa kun hän Leedsiin siirtyi. Eipä silti - vaikka hänet yleisesti flopiksi Leedsin ajoiltaan lasketaankin - hän pelasi aivan kelpo debyyttikauden (96-97 muistaakseni) ollen useissa peleissä Leedsin parhaimmistoa. Tekniikka hänellä kyllä oli hallussa, mutta juoksuvoiman kanssa vähän niin ja näin.

Sitten tulivatkin kohtalokseen pahat loukkaantumiset, joiden johdosta häntä ei juurikaan enää pelaavassa kokoonpanossa nähty - ja tie vei sittemmin ties minne: alasarjoihin ja...Islantiin.

Bowyerin ura jatkuu huhujen mukaan Newcastlessa, joka olisi täten valmis pulittamaan miehelle palkkaa 40 000 puntaa viikossa. Panos jäi West Hamissa kyllä aika laihaksi. Muutama keskinkertainen peli ja sitten loppukausi lasaretilla.

Saas nähdä mitä Woody ja Bow saavat aikaiseksi Newcastlen yöelämässä mikäli siirto toteutuu...

Hehe, todellakin näyttäsi olevan £40k ja kahden vuoden diili, eilen puhuttiin vielä £65 tuhannesta :o
Siinäpä heillä sopiva parivaljakko tekemään otsikoita lehtiin Olivier Bernardin seuraksi...
Houllier on tehnyt £5 miljoonan tarjouksen Harrysta, tulisi kuulemma Emile Heskeyn korvaajaksi.
Olivier Dacourtin siirtosumma on mitä todennäköisimmin £3.7 miljoonaa, allekirjoitus enää puuttuu.
