Kewell 'disappointed' with Viduka
Harry Kewell insists he has no problem with Mark Viduka - and says he is 'disappointed' at his suggestion that the pair do not speak.
Kewell's comments come in the aftermath of Viduka's astonishing admission that his Leeds team-mate has barely spoken to him in two years, and that he is pushing to dislodge Paul Okon as captain of Australia.
Viduka has also accused Kewell's manager, Bernie Mandic, of trying to influence Socceroos coach Frank Farina to make Kewell the Australian skipper.
But Kewell, who scored Leeds' goal in their 2-1 defeat to Charlton on Sunday, says he has no idea over what has prompted Viduka's outburst.
"I have never had a problem with Mark and have no idea what he's trying to achieve with his comments," Kewell said in a statement.
"I'm sure his comments will disappoint fans of Leeds and Australia alike.
"I've always believed that a player's boots should do the talking. Nothing has changed."
Meanwhile, Mandic has denied he is pushing for Kewell to be appointed captain, saying: "It's unfortunate that Mark has decided to concentrate his energy and talent on things other than fulfilling his full potential."
