Ammattiylpeyttä lienee vielä sen verran jäljellä että Charltonin ei anneta kävellä Elland Roadilta ilmaiset kolme pistettä mukanaan. Mielenkiintoista nähdä tekeekö Eddie Gray mitään radikaaleja muutoksia kokoonpanoon kun putoaminen on nyt varmaa. Lähinnä tulee mieleen Scott Carsonin mahdollinen peluuttaminen maalissa ja muutaman muun junnun (Keegan, Kilgallon) kokeilu avauksessa. Todennäköisempää lienee kuitenkin että parhailla miehillä yhä pelataan.

Charltonin toiveet Euro-paikasta ovat karisseet neljän ottelun voitottoman putken myötä. Viime lauantaina joukkue menetti jo varmalta näyttäneen voiton Leicesterin tultua tasoihin ottelun viime hetkillä.

Paha ottelu veikattavaksi, mutta luotan yllä mainittuun ammattiylpeyteen. Kyseessä on kuitenkin Leedsin tällä erää viimeinen kotipeli valioliigassa ja luoja yksin tietää miten kauan seuraavaa kotipeliä korkeimmalla sarjatasolla saadaan odottaa.

edit: Mark Viduka on siis pelinsä Leeds-paidassa pelannut ja Caldwell puolestaan kutsuttu takaisin koilliseen. Päivän kypsyttelyn jälkeen kallistun tasurin puoleen:

Terveiset valtameren toiselta puolen, viikko tuli oltua lähes täydellisessä jalkapallopimennossa, ei ollut kivoja uutisia mitä luin eilen kotiinpäin tullessani mutta ehkäpä tämä kuitenkin on se askel jonka tarvitsemme tässä vaiheessa.
Charlton on ainakin edellisinä vuosina ollut viimeisissä peleissään yleensä tavallista aneemisempi, katsotaanpa jatkuuko sama trendi tässä pelissä.
