Championship jatkuu pitkäksi venyneen tauon jälkeen kun Peter Reidin manageroima Coventry saapuu Yorkshireen. Coventryn alku on ollut pirteä ja se majailee taulukossa seitsemäntenä. Coventryn hyökkäyspeli on ollut sarjan neljänneksi tehokkainta. Tehomiehenä on häärinyt toistaiseksi vielä sangen tuntematon Andy Morrell, joka on osunut kauden avauspeleissä jo neljä kertaa.

Leedsin nykyisestä tilasta on paha mennä sanomaan juuri mitään. Kreikan visiitti ei tuonut valoa maalinteko-ongelmiin ja nähtäväksi jää valmistuuko Stern Johnin siirto ennen lauantain peliä. John on onnistunut aiempina "divarikausinaan" erinomaisesti, joten uskon miehestä olevan maalinteko-ongelmien ratkaisijaksi mikäli siirto toteutuu. Matthew Spring palannee kokoonpanoon saatuaan alle onnistuneen reservipelin viikolla.

Pahaa aavistelen, mutta jospa kokovalkoiset venyisivät vaihteeksi voittoon...

Kreikan tasapelistä on hankala vetää mitään johtopäätöksiä, pelataan varman päälle tällä kertaa..

Jopas on taas vaikea matsi veikattavaksi. Vastassa kautensa vähintään tyydyttävästi aloittanut Coventry jota manageroi entinen Leedsin "poppamies" Peter Reid joka takuulla haluaa näpäyttää entistä työnantajaansa.
Leedsin tilanne on edelleen jokseenkin sekava. Maalinteko ongelmiin ei tunnuta löytävän vastausta eikä puolustuksenkaan miehitys ota oikein muotoutuakseen.
Kolme pistettä kotijoukkueelle tulisivat kyllä tarpeeseen jotta saataisiin luotua kaulaa peräpäähän tässä vaiheessa kautta.
Veikkaus Leeds - Coventry 1-2, maalintekijä Pugh.
