Eipä tässä paljoa ennätä huoahtaa kun taas jo mennään. Tiistai-illan ratoksi Leedsin bandwagon rullaa jälleen etelään kun liigacupin kolmannella kierroksella arpa heitti vastaan Portsmouthin. Viimevuotiset murskalukemat ovat vielä hyvin muistissa, mutta tämänvuotinen joukkueemmehan onkin siihen verrattuna aivan toista tasoa  Wink

Kokoonpanosta puuttuu iso nippu pelaajia ja KB on kutsunut hätiin lainalla olleita pelaajiaan, mm. Simon Johnsonin Sunderlandista. Suurimman aukon kokoonpanoon jättää Paul Butler, jonka pelikiellon pituus on näillä näkymin kaksi ottelua. Julian Joachim palannee sen sijaan kokoonpanoon jätettyään Brighton-pelin väliin perheenlisäyksen vuoksi.

Pompeyn materiaali on ylivertainen, mutta niinkuin valioliigakausilta hyvin muistetaan eivät nämä cup-ottelut koskaan mitään läpihuutojuttuja ole olleet. Laitetaan nyt inhorealistinen veikkaus evästettynä aavistuksella siitä että Leedskin pari kassia saisi tehtyä.

edit: sen verran lisäystä että KB pelaajineen näyttää viettäneen välipäivät etelässä joukkuehenkeä kohottaen ja Pompey-peliin valmistautuen.

Jaajaa vai että tähän ollaan tultu. Lähteä liigacupin vierasotteluun Pompeytä vastaan sarjaporrasta isäntää alempana. Kuka olisi viisi vuotta sitten uskonut?? En minäkään.
No eipä mitään otetaan vierastasapeli niin saadaan "ylimääräiset" lipputulot pois kuleksimasta uusintaottelusta.

Pompeyn liukkaat kärkimiehet taitavat olla divarirytmiin tottuneelle pakistollemme liian hankalia..:/

Molemmat porukat varmaankin vekslaavat kokoonpanojaan, me pakosta
ja kotijoukkue tyypilliseen liigacup-perinteen tyyliin? Kovin sekalaisia
muistoja näiltä visiiteiltä - viime kauden karmean turpakeikan vasta-
kohtana se YLEnkin tarjoilema FA Cupin 5-1 -herkuttelu joskus 5-6
vuotta sitten...

Pompey lähtee todennäköisesti aika reservipitoisella porukalla peliin, joten ei kai auta muuta kuin veikata voittoa...

Onhan noita liigapelejä tarpeeksi. Meillä kun ei ole reserviä senkään vertaa kuin divarin parhailla porukoilla, niin taitaa olla parempikin näin...
