Rautaa on ollut Stoken puolustus, joskaan se ei ole itsekään pahemmin verkkoja pöllytellyt. Elland Roadilla palloiltiin joukkueiden välillä viimeksi 0-0, kun Stoke keskittyi ottelussa pelkkään puolustamiseen. Juuri nyt Stokella vaikuttaa olevan jonkinlainen notkahdusvaihe, sillä joukkue on kärsinyt viisi peräkkäistä tappiota, joista yksi tosin FA Cupissa Arsenalille.

Leedsillä Brian Deane saattaa palata kokoonpanoon ja hyvinä uutisina myös niin Eirik Bakke kuin Seth Johnsonkin ovat hyvää vauhtia toipumassa ottelukuntoon. Molemmilla alla nyt kaksi peliä (harjoitus- ja reservipeli), joissa 45- ja 60-minuuttia peliaikaa. Myös Islannin ihme Gylfi Einarssonin puujalka osoittaa paranemisen merkkejä.

Vieraissa on vaihteeksi kulkenut, joten ehkä Stoken tehottomuus saadaan hyödynnettyä tuikkaamalla pallo itse kertaalleen verkon perukoille:

Kyllä tää kausi on ollut yhtä vuoristorataa, mutta eikös Duberry pelannut Stokessa lainassa jotenka hän varmaan avittaa Leedsin voittoon.

pelaajatkin lienevät helpottuneita uutisista ja pitävät pitkästä aikaa nollan. myös voitolla saatavat kolme pojoa, jotka nostaisivat meidät kotijoukkueen ohi ja lähemmäs parempaa puolikasta, kiihottavat pelaajiemme mieliä näyttämään huomenna parastaan.  Smiley

Jos herra Bates istua jököttää katsomossa, ei tässä pelissä kukaan uskalla hissutella. Tai kai siihen riittää pelkkä ajatus siitä, että Bates saattaa nähdä pelin pullonpohjalaseillaan missä ikinä sitten sattuu jököttämäänkään.

Nollan pitäminen on silti vaikeaa.
