As far as I know he is from Sweden.

Familyname probalbly shows that his parents (or grandparents) has moved from Finland.

There are hundreds of thousends people in Sweden who are originally from Finland. Especially late sixties and early seventies many Finnish people from Northern and Eastern part of Finland moved to Sweden for seeking job.
