No niin.

Eli v**uttaa!

Harmittaahan se Howsonin lähtö, ja paljon. Mutta mitäpä tuossa taas toisaalta on tehtävissä(?).

Mikäli tuota Leedsin tiedotetta on uskominen, niin Jonny halusi lähteä valioliigaan mahdollisimman pian, eikä halunnut sitoutua Leedsiin "at this moment".

Leeds United were working to push through the loan signing of Fabian Delph today.

A deal for Delph remained a strong possibility this morning as Leeds looked to improve their squad in the wake of the outcry over Norwich’s successful bid for Howson.

jotain valoa...

...e

"According to the latest rumours:
Ben Parker stated that Jonny DID NOT want to leave the club. He was told that the club had accepted an offer, go talk to Norwich.
Jonny is on £4,000 a week and the new contract offered was £4,400 a week.
The deal to Norwich is £750,000 plus add-ons, not £2m.
Robert Snodgrass has ended contract negotiations due to wanting parity with other players and is unhappy that he was overlooked for the Captaincy and upset at the sale of Jonny Howson. (From Andrew Castles)
Aidy White is on £2,500 a week and club are offering nothing even close to what Jonny was on."

"Aidy White numbers were wrong. he's actually on £2,000 a week. His 'improved' offer is £2,500 a week."

As reported earlier a number of clubs have been looking at a Deadline Day move for Leeds' Robert Snodgrass. Now The Times says Blackburn Rovers made a late bid to sign the Scotland international which has been rejected by the Whites.

Leeds United face a major decision over the future of Aidan White as Premier League clubs prepare to move for the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international.

Two top-flight sides sent scouts to watch White’s performance against Middlesbrough on Sunday with a view to signing the 20-year-old when his deal expires at the end of June.

White’s contractual situation at Elland Road remains unchanged since he rejected the offer of an extension from Leeds shortly before Christmas.

The versatile defender, who has unexpectedly reverted to the right wing under new manager Neil Warnock, is rapidly approaching the end of the long-term deal he agreed with United in 2007 after emerging from their academy.

Leeds are protected financially due to White’s age and would be entitled to compensation if he leaves Elland Road and joins another English club this summer.

But White, pictured above, has been central to Warnock’s plans in his short time as manager and he set up the opening goal during an impressive display in Sunday’s 2-0 victory at The Riverside.

Warnock praised the youngster afterwards, saying: “Aidy’s doing well.

“Alright, he has too many touches at times and he’s got things to learn but for a left-back he’s not doing badly up front.

“I fancied him in that position when I first saw him. I don’t think he did or my staff. But he’s quite capable if he keeps believing and scores a few goals himself.”

White is not believed to have received an improved offer from Leeds since rejecting their initial approach but Warnock revealed last week that he planned to review the status of every Leeds player with a dwindling deal.

Robert Snodgrass, Ross McCormack and Adam Clayton are due to run into the last year of their agreements next season, and White is one of a number of squad members who could depart this summer at the end of their deals.

Speaking ahead of United’s valuable win at Boro, a victory which revived their chances of qualifying of the play-offs, Warnock said: “I’m speaking to the players and I’ll speak to their agents in the next few days. At the moment there aren’t enough hours in the day.

“All the players with a year or less, I need to talk to.”

* Meanwhile, Robbie Rogers and Andy O’Brien returned to action in a behind-closed doors friendly at Thorp Arch yesterday.

Rogers, who suffered concussion last month, scored in a 3-0 win over Carlisle United while O’Brien continued his recovery from depression with an outing at Leeds’ training ground.

Sky Sports understands Leeds United are closing in on a deal to make Portsmouth defender Jason Pearce their first signing of the summer.

Pearce has impressed at Portsmouth since arriving from Bournemouth in the summer and he has established himself as a key member of the side, making 43 appearances in all competitions this term.

Cash-strapped Pompey are resigned to losing a number of top players to ease their on-going financial problems and Pearce could be one of the first to depart Fratton Park once the season draws to a close.

A number of clubs, including Ipswich have shown an interest in Pearce, but Leeds are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring him to Elland Road.

Leeds boss Neil Warnock has made defensive recruits his main priority in this summer's transfer window as he looks to shore up their leaky rearguard.

Warnock revealed earlier this month he was confident of agreeing a deal with a mystery player and it is thought Pearce is the man in question.

Jossakin näkyi lukevan, että Pearcen siirtosumma olisi £ 1,5 miljoonaa.Se panee epäilemään josko Bates olisi valmis sijoittamaan tuollaista summaa yhteen pelaajaan.
